Monolith is the typographic design and storytelling practice of Alistair McCready, situated in Auckland, New Zealand. We have created working typefaces and lettering for a range of local and international design studios, type foundries and independent organisations.
Monolith is founded on the belief that the best ideas are only strengthened by the ability to execute them with care and craft. We are highly motivated by heritage and historical preservation, and feel that often the best way to see forward, is to look to the past.
